Most review sites rate flavor. We rate protocols. Here is how our Community Safety Score works.
We use a simple traffic light system, plus a special "Community Verified" badge for our most trusted locations.
The Gold Standard. This restaurant has maintained a Green Status over multiple reviews (5+). It is a proven safe spot vetted by many local parents.
Parents felt safe and protocols were followed. Staff likely checked ingredients and took allergies seriously.
Mixed experiences. Either the staff was unsure, the menu was limited, or the location is New/Unverified (hasn't earned enough trust yet).
Parents reported feeling unsafe, dismissed by staff, or—most importantly—an allergic reaction occurred here.
We don't ask parents to "guess" a number. Our algorithm calculates a score (0-100) based on three factors:
How safe did you feel? (Max 80 pts)
Did you speak to a Chef? Did they confirm gloves? (Bonus Points)
If a reaction occurs, the score drops to 10 immediately.
If a restaurant receives a verified report of an allergic reaction due to negligence, they immediately lose their Verified Badge and drop to Red Status until they can prove updated training.
